A Note From Kent Finlay:
Hello --
We are having a benefit for Aaron Allan this coming Sunday at
Cheatham. Aaron fell and broke his femur -- and is in dire need of
money for medical expenses. Aaron is no spring chicken -- and until
recently worked as a radio announcer (as he has done all of his life)
-- but he was laid off from KCTI in Gonzales a few months ago. Things
have been hard for him since that time . . .
and now he has this to contend with.
Aaron has been a prominent radio personality since he graduated from
high school in New Braunfels and went to work singing and
playing live on the air at San Antonio's most prominent stations.
He is a member of the Texas Dee-Jay Hall of Fame. Also, he has had
notable success as a songwriter -- even had a Willie Nelson cut.
We are working on the line-up for the concert. Johnny Bush has said
he is coming -- a number of others. We need help publicizing the
event, and I'm in hopes that you could do a story. Aaron does not
have insurance -- or any money. We just need to help him through
this.
Any help you can give in the form of donations, attending the
concert, and/or helping to publicize the event will be greatly
appreciated. Please forward this message to anyone who needs to know.
Thanks,
Kent |
